Slot Machine positioning

[ English ]

Books have been written on this matter, and the controversy and face-offs about where the "hot" video slots are positioned in a casino are still happening – more than sixty yrs after one armed bandits were 1st added to the gaming floor in casinos.

The classic rule is that the most favorable slot machine games were positioned just inside the entrance of the casino; so that fun seekers walking by would be able to see actual jackpot winners … be baited to come into the casino … play. Our disposition is that this is definitely no longer the case.

Just about all of the large casinos today are mammoth complexes and it is not possible to see inside from the sidewalk, so there is no longer a reason to place the ‘loose’ one armed bandits close to any doorways.

Another standard rule is that loose one armed bandits are put on the major aisles in the casinos, again so that more fun seekers could see winning jackpots and be influenced to play. Nonetheless, we find that this also is no longer a universal rule.

What casinos found over the years is that people walking down the busy aisles were frequently on the way to somewhere else. If they played the slot machines at all, they would simply put in their loose change because they happened to be walking by. Win or lose, they would very often not stop to keep playing. And the last thing a casino wants is for someone to win a jackpot by playing only a few coins and then not stay to put it all back in!

Nowadays, casinos are constantly changing their perspective about where to place the loose slot machine games.

Casino Slot Games

Modern casino slot machine games are controlled by a computer, and the winning percentages are pre-programmed into the software.

Casino one armed bandits have Random # Generators that are constantly generating combinations, even when the slot machine is not currently being played.

Running jointly with the random # generator of the casino one-armed bandit is the pay out %.

The pay out percent controls just how much the slot machine will pay out, for example the payout % could be 90%, meaning the slot machine game will pay out ninety percent of all the bets played, … the casino gets to keep ten percent.

This really does not mean that for every time you bet 10 credits you will receive 9 in return – where is the fun … excitement in that? Instead, the casino slot machine game just won’t payout for a little while, and then suddenly jump on a hot streak and you might catch the big jackpot prize.

The pay off percentages will vary between the various games and just a few of the notably acclaimed casinos, for instance Golden Online Casino, which puts forth a payout rate of up to 95 per cent!

As a result, in essence, the slot machine takes all the cash played into it and pays it out to several chosen winners. The casino only gets to keep a generally petite per cent of all the stakes put out.

The casino one armed bandit software controls each part of the machine, from the flashing lights to the circulating of the reels.

When you hit spin on the one-armed bandit, a combination is developed by the RNG which is linked to the pictures on the reel.
